Clean Water in Batey Verde

Batey Verde is a struggling community of 45 families, originally built to support the sugarcane industry.
At its heart, 25-year-old Pastor Ramon leads a small church, ministering to a diverse group—Christians, Catholics, Muslims, and even those practicing voodo. He is a true caretaker of his people.
On a recent visit, he shared their most urgent need: their water pump had been broken for three months, leaving families without clean water. They were forced to buy water just to cook and clean.
Working with the landowner, Exalt provided a new pump and restored water to the community. We were also able to supply the church with a speaker and worship materials.
But the need doesn’t stop there. The community is hopeful for a permanent, sturdy church building and better housing.
