about us
what we do
Exalt Ministry is a Christian mission organization based in Columbia SC. By definition, a mission is "a strongly felt aim, ambition, or calling and and important assignment carried out for religious or other purposes." The word "mission" comes from the Latin word mit ("to send") and is a response to Jesus' great commission to his disciples. Exalt seeks to meet the felt needs of local churches in numerous communities while spreading the love and hope of Jesus Christ as we go.
Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.
Psalm 34:3

where we do it
Exalt works locally in Columbia, SC with River City Chapel and Rosewood Community Church promoting and enhancing hometown missions. This includes volunteering with Harvest Hope Food Bank and mentoring youth with Ezekiel Ministries, as well as helping to support Lighthouse for Life and Rosewood Church Food Pantry.
Exalt also works globally in the Dominican Republic with Maranatha Iglesia, Maranatha Mission, and Jehovah Jireh Church in La Romana, DR. We serve the pastors and members of these local churches while also working alongside the Dominican Republic Mission Team who minister to the people of the remote sugar cane plantations called "bateyes." The DRMT has been serving Dominican and Haitian workers and their families for over thirty years. Exalt participates in this ministry through short term mission trips to assist with the construction projects and medical clinics under the auspices of Buen Samaratino Hospital, food distribution to the malnourished, evangelism, and mentoring and scholastic sponsorship of local school children.
LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.
Isaiah 25:1
why we do it
Christian ministry traditionally has become synonymous with the vocational work for pastors, missionaries, and parachurch workers. While what these workers do is part of Christian ministry, Exalt believes Christian ministry really is required of all Christians in every aspect of their lives, In the Hebrew language the work for work is avodah, defined not only as labor but also worship and service Exalt honors that definition by striving to ensure that everything we do is done in service to God and in a spirit of worship.

The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
Exodus 15:2
how you can help
We ask for your prayerful patronage of God's mission through Exalt Ministry. Please pray for the people we serve, for the people that serve, and for the financial funding necessary to provide our services. Please give as you are led to help those in need - both locally and afar. Your donations will be stewarded as will assist those with the most needs. Further, please consider physically participating with us as we go out to reach our fellow needy human beings.
Keep in mind the best gift we Chrisitans can offer anyone is the love and hope we share in the risen Christ Jesus, and the greatest satisfaction we can realize is that we ourselves are spiritually renewed as we seek to share that gift with those in need.
For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Matthew 23:12
